Know what to expect

Clear expectations, from the start.

These requirements explain how to keep your account open and what happens if a payment is missed or your balance goes negative.

Your $8 monthly payment

The $8 monthly fee is transferred from your second chance checking account into a second chance special club account on the 5th of each month. If you are unable to make the required payment for two months within a 12-month period, your account will be subject to closure.

If your balance goes negative

Fees apply when your account goes negative. You have 30 days to bring your account balance above $0. If you do not, your account will be closed.
If you bring your balance above $0 within 30 days, your original 12-month good-standing period continues. It does not restart.

What happens to the money in my Second Chance Special Club Account

The monthly amounts moved into the second chance special club are released to you once the account requirements are met. If your account is closed with a negative balance, these funds are used toward the negative amount you owe.

If things get difficult, let’s talk.

Reach out to a Financial Coach if you’re worried about a payment or your balance. We can help you look at your budget and connect you with community resources. The account requirements and deadlines above still apply.
