OFFICIAL RULES

Thrive Credit Union Anderson Photo Contest

NO PURCHASE OR THRIVE CREDIT UNION MEMBERSHIP IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

1. Eligibility

The Thrive Credit Union Anderson Photo Contest (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of Indiana who are at least 10 years old as of the date of entry. Entrants do not need to be members of Thrive Credit Union.

Entrants under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate. The parent or legal guardian may be required to verify their consent before the entrant can be confirmed as a winner or before any selected photograph is used by Thrive Credit Union.

Employees of Thrive Credit Union (the “Sponsor”), its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, and the immediate family members and/or individuals living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

2. Agreement to Rules

By participating, each entrant—and the entrant’s parent or legal guardian if the entrant is under 18—agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules and represents and warrants that the entrant meets the eligibility requirements stated herein.

Entrants agree to accept the decisions of Thrive Credit Union regarding the administration of the Contest, eligibility of entries, selection of winners, and interpretation of these Official Rules as final and binding.

3. Contest Period

Entries will be accepted online beginning at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, and ending at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will not be eligible. Thrive Credit Union’s computer system will serve as the official timekeeping device for the Contest.

4. How to Enter

Entrants must complete and submit the online entry form available at thrivecu.org/contest. Each entrant may submit up to three original photographs during the Contest Period.

Each photograph must:

  • Feature a place, activity, event, or attraction located in Anderson, Indiana;

  • Reflect the spirit, character, or community of Anderson;

  • Be the entrant’s original work;

  • Be owned by the entrant and not subject to another person’s or organization’s copyright, contract, licensing agreement, or usage restrictions; and

  • Comply with all requirements stated in these Official Rules and on the online entry form.

Edited photographs and photographs taken by professional photographers are permitted. Artificial intelligence-generated images are not permitted. Thrive Credit Union may disqualify an image if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the image was generated using artificial intelligence or otherwise violates these Official Rules.

If a photograph includes an identifiable person, private property, artwork, trademark, or other protected material, the entrant is responsible for obtaining any permission necessary to submit the photograph and permit its use as described in these Official Rules. If an identifiable person appearing in a photograph is under 18, the entrant must obtain permission from that person’s parent or legal guardian.

For entrants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must approve the entry and submission of the photographs.

Each person may submit no more than three photographs during the Contest Period. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, submitted through fraudulent means, or otherwise fail to comply with these Official Rules may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Thrive Credit Union.

Entrants may not use multiple identities, email addresses, entry forms, or other methods to exceed the three-photograph limit. If an entrant uses fraudulent methods or otherwise attempts to circumvent these Official Rules, the entrant and all associated submissions may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of Thrive Credit Union.

5. Prizes

Up to 10 entrants will be selected as winners. Each winner will receive one collection of gift cards from local businesses with a total approximate retail value of $100.

The specific businesses, number of gift cards, and denominations represented in each gift-card collection will be determined by Thrive Credit Union and may vary among winners. Gift cards are subject to the terms, conditions, expiration dates, and restrictions established by their respective issuers.

A winner may have one, two, or all three submitted photographs selected for use by Thrive Credit Union. Selection or use of more than one photograph from the same winner will not increase the number or value of prizes awarded to that winner. Each winner is eligible to receive a maximum of one prize with a total approximate retail value of $100.

The specifics of each prize will be determined solely by the Sponsor. No cash alternative, prize substitution, or transfer or assignment of a prize is permitted, except that Thrive Credit Union may substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its discretion.

Any federal, state, or local taxes or other expenses associated with accepting or using a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Professional photographers and all other entrants acknowledge that the $100 gift-card prize is the full and only compensation provided to each winner, regardless of how many of that winner’s photographs are selected or used. Thrive Credit Union will not pay additional licensing, display, usage, creative, or professional fees and will not enter into a separate photographer’s release or licensing agreement.

6. Chances of Winning

This is a skill-based Contest. The chances of winning depend on the number and quality of eligible photographs received and how each submission performs under the judging criteria described in these Official Rules.

7. Winner Selection and Notification

The Thrive Credit Union marketing team will review the eligible photographs and select up to 10 winning entrants based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to Anderson;

  • Visual quality; and

  • Representation of Anderson’s community spirit.

The decisions of the Thrive Credit Union marketing team are final and binding.

Each entrant will be considered only once for winner status, regardless of the number of photographs submitted or selected. Thrive Credit Union may select one, two, or all three photographs submitted by a winner. A winner whose multiple photographs are selected will still receive only one prize with a total approximate retail value of $100.

In the event of a tie, the Thrive Credit Union marketing team will reevaluate the tied entries using the same criteria and select the entry that most strongly represents the overall spirit and character of Anderson.

Potential winners will be contacted using the contact information provided on the online entry form within five business days following the completion of judging. When contacting a potential winner, Thrive Credit Union will identify which of the entrant’s photographs it wishes to use.

Thrive Credit Union is not responsible for a potential winner’s failure to receive a notification because of incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or nonfunctioning contact information or email security settings.

A potential winner may be required to:

  • Confirm eligibility;

  • Provide parental or legal guardian consent if under 18;

  • Verify ownership of the selected photographs;

  • Confirm that all required permissions have been obtained;

  • Accept the prize and proposed use of the selected photographs; and

  • Confirm acceptance of these Official Rules.

If a potential winner cannot be contacted, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize or proposed use of the selected photographs, fails to respond within 72 hours, or fails to provide any requested information, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.

Receipt of a prize is conditioned upon compliance with these Official Rules and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Any violation of these Official Rules may result in the winner’s disqualification and termination of all privileges associated with being selected as a winner.

8. Rights Granted by Entrants

Entrants retain ownership of their submitted photographs.

Thrive Credit Union will not use photographs submitted by a nonwinning entrant for advertising, promotional, or public-display purposes without separately contacting the entrant and receiving permission.

Thrive Credit Union may select one, two, or all three photographs submitted by a winning entrant. When contacting the potential winner, Thrive Credit Union will identify the photographs selected for use.

By accepting the prize, each winner grants Thrive Credit Union and its authorized representatives a nonexclusive, royalty-free right to reproduce, display, publish, crop, resize, format, and otherwise use each selected photograph in connection with:

  • Display in Thrive Credit Union’s Anderson branch;

  • Thrive Credit Union’s website and social media accounts;

  • Email newsletters and member communications;

  • Advertising and promotional materials;

  • Public relations and media communications; and

  • Other materials promoting Thrive Credit Union, the Anderson branch, or the Anderson community.

Thrive Credit Union may identify the photographer by name when displaying or publishing a selected photograph but is not required to provide a photo credit unless otherwise required by law.

The winner acknowledges that the prize described in Section 5 is the complete compensation for Thrive Credit Union’s permitted use of the selected photographs. This applies regardless of whether Thrive Credit Union selects or uses one, two, or all three photographs submitted by the winner.

Thrive Credit Union will not be required to pay additional compensation or execute a separate photographer’s release, usage agreement, or licensing agreement.

For a winner under 18, the winner’s parent or legal guardian must approve these rights before any selected photograph is used by Thrive Credit Union.

9. Content Restrictions and General Terms

Entries must not contain material that Thrive Credit Union determines, in its sole discretion, to be unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, dangerous, invasive of another person’s privacy, or otherwise inappropriate for public display.

Entries must not falsely represent a person, business, activity, event, attraction, or location.

Thrive Credit Union reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend, or suspend the Contest if fraud, technical failures, unauthorized human intervention, natural disaster, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest.

If the Contest is modified, suspended, or terminated, Thrive Credit Union may select winners from the eligible entries received before the action was taken.

Thrive Credit Union reserves the right to disqualify any person who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process, online form, website, judging process, or operation of the Contest or who otherwise violates these Official Rules.

Any attempt to deliberately damage a website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may violate criminal or civil laws. Thrive Credit Union reserves the right to seek damages or other remedies from any person responsible to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Entering the Contest does not automatically subscribe an entrant to Thrive Credit Union marketing emails. Any optional request to receive promotional communications will be handled separately and may be withdrawn at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

By entering, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Thrive Credit Union and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from liability for any loss, injury, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, from:

  1. The entrant’s participation in the Contest or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize;

  2. Technical failures, including the malfunction of any computer, network, hardware, software, website, or internet service;

  3. The unavailability or inaccessibility of the online form or an electronic transmission;

  4. Unauthorized human intervention in the entry or judging process; or

  5. Electronic or human error in administering the Contest or processing entries.

Nothing in these Official Rules excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

11. Disputes

This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Indiana, without respect to conflict-of-law doctrines.

As a condition of participating, each entrant agrees that any dispute that cannot be resolved between the parties and any cause of action arising out of or connected with the Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively by a court located in Indiana having jurisdiction.

To the extent permitted by law, an entrant will not be entitled to recover punitive, incidental, or consequential damages or attorneys’ fees, other than the entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses directly associated with entering the Contest. Each entrant waives the right to have damages multiplied or increased.

12. Privacy Policy

Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Thrive Credit Union Privacy Policy. Submitted information will be used to administer the Contest, evaluate entries, contact potential winners, verify eligibility, obtain any required consent, and award prizes.
