We want our checking accounts to better fit the diverse needs of our members. As a CDFI, we believe in meeting people where they are and providing financial products that support them at different stages of their financial journey.
CDFI stands for Community Development Financial Institution. CDFIs are financial institutions committed to expanding access to affordable financial products and services, especially for people and communities that may be underserved by traditional financial institutions.
For Thrive, being a CDFI means we don't just ask, “Can we serve this member?” We ask, “How can we help this member move forward?”
Our new lineup gives members more choices—from a first checking account for a teen, to an account designed to help someone rebuild their checking history.
Most importantly, Second Chance Checking allows us to serve members who may have experienced checking account challenges in the past and need an opportunity to establish a positive banking relationship and work toward a fresh start.
We want members to feel like there is a Thrive checking account designed for them—not a one-size-fits-all product.

At Thrive, protecting our members and their financial information is a top priority. We have seen an increase in mail theft in our community, and paper statements can contain sensitive account information that could be accessed if your mail is stolen or intercepted.
eStatements are a safer and more secure way to receive your account information. Your statements are delivered directly through digital banking, rather than being sent through the mail where they could be lost, delayed, or stolen. They are also available anytime through digital banking, giving you convenient access without having to wait for a statement to arrive.
The $5 paper statement fee also helps offset the growing costs of printing and mailing physical statements. However, our primary goal is to encourage members to choose the more secure and convenient option of eStatements.
