Room #1 – Kyleigh Brumley’s Spare Bedroom/Dog Room

What would you do to make your room picture perfect? For my picture perfect room I would put in flooring – some kinda of laminate or vinyl that would be
waterproof a durable . I would re paint the walls so they all matched – a light color to make the room look bigger and brighter. I would add in some storage along the walls to separate toys, bones, and blankets. I would also get a small bed or couch for a comfortable napping area. I want this room to be an oasis for my doggies while I am away at work.

Room #2 – Shannon Butler’s Laundry Room

What would you do to make your room picture perfect? Currently our laundry room/mudroom is an homage to the 90’s. Which the 90’s were awesome, but I would like to bring our laundry room/mudroom up to date and make it more family friendly and functional. I would like to change the floors to a new durable, waterproof “wood” look flooring. Paint doors and folding closet door and the ceiling with a fresh coat of paint. Also paint all of the wood trim to match. You can see where we started to do this years ago and didn’t finish. Add a new window treatment to the back door. Something colorful and cheery. I would like to add bead board to walls floor to ceiling to cover the wall paper that is stuck completely to the drywall. Then install cabinets above the washer/dryer for storage and maybe add cubbies at kid level for my two kids to put shoes and hooks to hang their school bags and jackets. With these changes I think it would elevate the laundry room/mudroom to the 21st Century! And hopefully encourage my kids to hang their things up when they come in. Thank you for considering us!

Room #7 – Paula Rench’s Laundry Room

What would you do to make your room picture perfect? First I would have all the plumbing re-done to eliminate all the leaks we have, and allow us to stop turning the water on and off to use it. Second, we would replace the flooring, which is completely gone right now because of the last time the water was left on and leaked all over the carpet. Third, I would repair and/or replace the drywall that was damaged from the water. Fourth, we would replace the water heater and water softener. Finally, we would repaint the walls and hopefully make it a nice area that is standing water free.
