ICFCU Changes Name to Help Delaware County Residents Thrive
Muncie, Indiana, October 22, 2014 – Industrial Centre Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that it has officially changed its name to Thrive Credit Union.
ICFCU (Industrial Centre Federal Credit Union) was founded in 1940 by the employees of Delco Battery. Over the past 75 years, ICFCU has evolved into a full service financial institution offering a variety of products and services to serve the financial needs of anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in the Delaware County.
The new name is the result of more than a year of research, analysis and planning that touched all levels of the organization. The name was developed to represent the new mission of our credit union: to help members succeed financially so they can thrive in their lives.
“I could not be more excited about beginning this next chapter as Thrive Credit Union,” said Brett Rinker, Thrive President/CEO. “While ICFCU certainly holds a great deal of emotional equity, it was time to update our name to better represent who we are today and how we want to grow in the future. As Thrive, expect the same level of service and community commitment… just with a brand new look and enhanced product and service offerings to help you Thrive.”
Thrive is not only a place to bank, but a place where members can Thrive. To enhance this new vision, Thrive will begin offering new financial empowerment resources, such as free financial counseling with seven certified financial counselors on staff and available at both locations.
“This has been an exciting process for our credit union. Members, employees and community partners have all rallied behind the new name and vision, helping to make the transition as seamless as possible,” said Brittani Richards, Thrive Director of Marketing. “We are thrilled to fully transition to Thrive and look forward to serving more residents and their families in Delaware County.”
Thrive will celebrate the launch of its new name on Thursday, October 30th with a celebration at the north location 2610 N. Wheeling Ave. Join the Thrive staff, the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and 104.1 WLBC at 11:30am on October 30th for a ribbon cutting and celebration with refreshments and give-aways.
The credit union employs 20 professionals and currently serves over 5,000 members, overseeing more than $48 million in assets with two full-service financial centers in Delaware County.
